Project Crossfire Development Update | June 2026

We continue improving Project Crossfire. This update focuses on administration, forum improvements, website optimization, translations, security, a new news editor, the team page and the upcoming CS2 Access system.

Project Crossfire Development Update | June 2026

Hello,
we have moved another step forward. We are still actively working on Project Crossfire and improving things that may not always be visible at first glance, but are important for the whole project.

This time, we focused mainly on administration, the forum, website optimization, translations, security and systems that will help us manage the website and game servers more easily in the future.

Improved administration

The administration has received more improvements to make it cleaner, easier to use and better prepared for adding new features.

We do not want everything to be handled manually or in a complicated way every time. The goal is to make adding new features faster, safer and without unnecessary chaos.

This will make it easier to manage the whole Project Crossfire and gradually connect more parts of the website and servers.

New visitor mode in administration

We added a new visitor mode, or view mode, to the administration.

This allows certain parts of the administration to be displayed safely without giving permission to edit anything. It is useful for previews, checks or situations where someone needs to see something but should not be able to change it.

Forum update and optimization

The forum received a smaller update and several optimizations.

It is not a huge change, but rather another step towards making everything faster, cleaner and more comfortable to use.

We will continue improving the forum as Project Crossfire grows.

Website optimization

We are also continuing to optimize website styles, scripts and images.

Some parts of the website are being cleaned, rewritten and improved so the pages load better, feel more stable and look more consistent across the whole project.

This is not only about the visual side, but also about performance, speed and better preparation for the future.

Translation fixes

We also fixed missing, incorrect or confusing translations.

Since we do not want Project Crossfire to be focused only on the CZ/SK community, but also on English-speaking players, it is important for both Czech and English versions of the website to make sense.

We will continue checking and improving translations where needed.

New server icons

Our servers received new icons.

It is a smaller visual change, but it helps make the website cleaner, easier to navigate and better looking overall.

New news editor

We prepared a new editor for news posts.

This will make writing, editing and managing news on the website easier for us. It should also help us publish more updates about development, servers and important project changes.

New Team page

The Team page has also been updated.

We want it to be clearer who is part of the project and what role they have. The page will continue to be improved as Project Crossfire grows and as more positions become needed.

Security and data protection

Another important part is security.

We worked on security improvements to help keep your data safe and reduce the risk of data leaks or losing important project data.

We do not want to store sensitive things where they do not need to be. That is why we are gradually adjusting our systems to be safer, easier to control and easier to manage.

Of course, mistakes can still happen, but our goal is to have the best possible overview of what is happening in the system and to minimize risks.

Better no-permission page

We also improved the page that appears when someone does not have permission to access a certain part of the website.

Instead of a plain or ugly error, users will now see a nicer and more understandable page that clearly explains they do not have access to that section.

CS2 Access system

We are also working on an Access system for CS2.

This system will use data from our API, so sensitive data does not have to be stored directly on the game server. This should make everything safer and easier for us to manage.

In practice, our goal is simple: a team member will have one role assigned, and that role will give them the correct permissions everywhere they need them across the project.

This means we will not have to set every permission separately in multiple places. Once the correct role is set, the system will take care of the rest.

What comes next?

All of these changes help us build Project Crossfire on a more stable and secure foundation.

Not everything is visible from the outside right away, but these improvements are important for future development, new features and better connections between the website and our game servers.

Thank you to everyone who follows and supports the project.
