Project Crossfire Development Update: Core System, Shop and Team Recruitment
The new Core System test was successful. We are preparing a connection between the website, databases, game servers, shop and one Premium account across the whole project. We are also looking for people who would like to help with development, the website, graphics, texts or testing.
Project Crossfire Development Update
Hello,
we have moved another step forward. Yesterday, we tested the new Core System, which will handle the main functions of the whole project.
What will the Core System do?
Simply put, it will be the main part responsible for communicating with databases, loading data from the website and passing information to the game servers.
Why are we doing it this way? Mainly because of performance. We want our game servers to run as smoothly as possible without being unnecessarily slowed down by tasks that can be handled outside of the server itself.
Of course, there is still more work ahead of us, especially when it comes to security and final adjustments.
Action logging
All important actions will be logged, so nothing should just disappear without us knowing about it. Of course, we are only human and mistakes can happen, but we want to have the best possible overview of what is happening inside the system.
As for the website, we still need to finish some shop logging. The base is already done, but right now only people with direct access to our database can view it. In the future, we want to handle this properly through the administration panel.
One Premium for the whole project
As I mentioned some time ago, our goal is to have only one Premium across the whole project. This means we have to put a bit more work into the system, but the result should be worth it.
Premium should be connected across the project, so players will not have to deal with separate purchases for every part.
For this system to work properly, players will need to be registered on the website. But don’t worry — one account will be enough. You will be able to connect everything through that account.
The only exception for now is YouTube, where there is currently an issue that I still need to solve.
Shop
We are also planning a larger shop, where you will be able to purchase more than just Premium in the future. It is not fully defined yet, but more information will come later.
We are looking for help with the project
Personally, I do have a bit of help with the project, but it is still not enough for me to keep up with everything as quickly as I would like.
After work, I do not always feel like jumping straight back into development, even though I still enjoy working on this project. At the same time, I do not want to ignore everyone close to me and spend all of my free time on it.
That is why, if anyone is interested in joining the project and helping out, you can contact me on Discord or by e-mail:
info@project-crossfire.eu
Ideally, please include what you can do or how you would like to help.
Just to be clear, we are not looking for an A-Team yet, because there is currently nothing for them to manage.
Right now, we are mainly looking for people who could help with development, the website, graphics, texts, testing or other parts around the project.
Thank you to everyone who follows and supports the project.
